Kari is committed to preserving natural resources, mitigating climate change, and creating clean energy initiatives that generate good-paying, green jobs. We know she will be effective; after all, she has the experience to prove it. While on City Council, Kari participated in the development of the Coon Rapids Energy Plan. She championed changing city ordinance to allow large-scale solar gardens, worked to expand the Coon Rapids Recycling Center, and successfully helped with changes to allow commercial solar in the city. We are excited to see her continue to lead as a climate champion in the legislature!
Kari Rehrauer first moved to Minnesota to attend the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology and a master’s degree in education. During her 20-year teaching career, she worked with thousands of families and realized her passion for serving others. She ran for Coon Rapids City Council, and she was elected in 2020. Now, she is running for state representative to fight for the next generation of Minnesotans.
