For example, New Mexico is the second largest crude oil producer and fifth largest methane gas producer in the United States. Our targeting work shows that New Mexico will have an increased number of pro-climate legislators in office in 2025, creating an opening to advance bold climate policy that creates more economic opportunity and safer conditions for all New Mexicans.
